What
equipment can I use to cook with on a Volcano?

We prefer you use our 'Big Dutch' dutch oven, however, we understand
if you have your own desires. You can practically use any
cooking utensil you would use on a normal kitchen stove.
There are numerous
brands of dutch ovens, cast iron pots, round kettles, roasting
pots, boiling pots, deep fryers, skillets/pans, griddles, even
cast iron woks. The Volcano stove comes with a top grill
so you can use your stove for grilling hamburgers, hot dogs,
shrimp-ka-bobs, or just about anything else.

Do
I have to use charcoal or can I use other sources of fuel?

If it burns, you can use it. Now don't get carried away
here, just because plastic burns doesn't mean it'll make your
burgers juicier. Just find whatever source of fuel you'd
like to use, chop it up so it will fit and start cookin'.
We've been asked about pine cones, wood chips, and yes....even
cow chips. You might recall that even the Mormon pioneers
used cow chips as a source of cooking fuel when they
crossed the plains.
Charcoal is the best
source of fuel to use when cooking with your Volcano. It
burns hotter and more efficiently than most other fuels.
It also stores well (Y2K buffs take heed), and for long periods
of time.
Will
the Volcano work if my dutch oven has legs?

The Volcano is designed to accommodate almost any dutch oven,
with or without legs. A dutch oven will sit down inside
the 'can' of the Volcano and is supported by either the top rim
of the stove or the 3 sizing screws near the top if your oven
is smaller than the opening. These sizing screws allow
you to use many sizes of ovens, pots and kettles.
Do
you ship your products internationally?

YES!, however, it takes longer to process your order, but it'll
get there. Shipping costs for international shipments are
usually very high. If you have any concerns about what
your shipping costs may be, check out www.ups.com
to figure your costs. We deliver via UPS Ground Commercial
in the lower 48, and UPS Worldwide Express everywhere else.
How
many dutch ovens can I stack on a Volcano?
You'd be pretty safe if you stacked up to 3 or 5 high.
We don't recommend stacking over 5 high because your stack (and
food) might become unstable and topple over.
Should
I buy extra Draft Rings if I stack ovens?

Yes. It keeps the wind from cooling the sides of your dutch
ovens during cooking, thus preserving the heat and channeling
the heat upwards and around your ovens. Our Draft Rings
have tabs on the bottom so they interconnect with each other
when you stack them.
How
do I clean my Volcano?

Easy...just tip it over and dump the coals out. Now for
those of you who really make a mess while cooking just get a
soft sponge, soap, water, elbow grease...put them all together
and scrub. Your Volcano and all that lava you spilled over
the edge will wash right off.
Does
the Extension Ring you sell work on the 'Big Dutch'?

No. We designed the extension ring to be used on flat-lid
dutch ovens. The Big Dutch oven has an extra large volume
lid so you get additional volume in your oven to cook in...great
for those turkey dinners while out camping. The Extension
Ring is a steel sleeve that fits most dutch ovens elevating the
lid to you get additional cooking volume.
Can
you bake bread in a dutch oven or on the Volcano?

Absolutely! There are literally thousands of recipes available
for baking breads, rolls, biscuits, muffins, cornbread, pies,
cakes, etc... Perform a search on your preferred search
engine for 'dutch oven recipes', you should be able to locate

in a dutch oven isn't gonna look like the kind you buy at the
store...but it sure is gonna taste better!
Can
you boil water, make soup or cook rice on the Volcano?

more than just a dutch oven. You can cook in a kettle
and stock pot when you need to as well as many others.
